Reliance Nippon India Mutual Fund (Formerly known as Reliance Mutual Fund) was established in 1996. it is a joint venture between India’s Reliance Mutual Fund and Japan’s Nippon Life Insurance Company. Nippon Life acquired a stake in Reliance Mutual fund in the year 2019. Later, renamed the erstwhile Reliance Mutual Fund to Nippon India Mutual Fund on 28th September 2019.
