Also, in 2004, PNB and Vijaya Bank became shareholders of the Principal Trustee Company. The AMC used to function as a joint venture between Punjab National Bank and Principal Financial. Later, PNB sold its entire share to Principal Group.

Principal Mutual Fund aims to ensure that returns from fixed income investments are well compensated for liquidity risk, credit risk and interest rate risk. Mr. Jain is currently the (CIO) Chief Investment Officer at Principal Mutual fund. He has been associated with the fund house for over 16 years. He has more than 29 years of experience in Investment Management. Mr. Jain currently leads the overall strategy and also monitors the investments at the fund house. Prior to joining the AMC, he was associated with SBI Mutual Fund as Chief Investment Officer. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from NIT Allahabad. Mr. Jain also holds a PGDM from IIM, Lucknow. He manages the Principal Global Opportunities Fund, Principal Nifty 100 Equal Weight Fund, and Principal Arbitrage Fund.
Mr. Gopalkrishnan is currently the Head of Equity at the AMC. He has more than 25 years of experience in asset management and research. He managed many Large Cap, Mid Cap and Multi Cap funds. Prior to joining Principal Mutual Fund, he was with Canara Robeco AMC, Sun F&C AMC, and Pramerica AMC. Also, he has a sound knowledge of fund management and robust research expertise. Mr. Gopalakrishnan holds an M.S. Finance (Investments) degree and also an M.B.A degree.
He manages Principal Focused Multicap Fund, Principal Balanced Advantage Fund (hybrid fund), Principal Hybrid Equity Fund, Principal Multi Cap Growth Fund, Principal Dividend Yield Fund, Principal Emerging Bluechip Fund, and Principal Midcap Fund. Mr. Kedia has more than 13 years of experience and is currently the Fund Manager at Principal Mutual Fund. He has a strong research background and a good understanding of asset management. He has managed many hybrid funds and multi cap funds over the years. Mr. Kedia previously worked with Mirae AMC and ASK Investment Managers. He is a Chartered Accountant and a CWA. Mr Aggarwal is the associate fund manager at Principal Mutual Fund. He has over 15 years’ experience across the buy and sell side. She is also a Chartered Accountant (Intermediate).
Ms. Kuriakose is currently the Head of Fixed Income at the fund house. She has more than 18 years of experience in research, fund management and dealing. Her expertise is in primarily managing Fixed Income Funds. Previously she worked with L&T Mutual Fund as the Assistant Vice President and Fund Manager at SBI Mutual Fund and Reliance Life Insurance.
