IIFL Asset Management is a part of the IIFL Wealth Group that is one of the global wealth management companies. It is an Indian focused global asset management firm and identifies themselves as uniquely Indian and undeniably global. IIFL mutual fund (AMC) has a global presence across India, Canada, USA, UK, UAE, Singapore and Mauritius. Their assets under management in India, Singapore and Mauritius are INR 21,940 crore (as on March 31st, 2020).
Furthermore, IIFL’s products offer uniquely structured products to cover diverse investment requirements of investors. Go to Scripbox’s website and click on the button “Let’s get started” on its homepage. This displays a list of goal-based investment options. Therefore, an individual can choose one or multiple financial goals on the basis of their requirements to invest in mutual funds. Click on the “Continue” button, to proceed with mutual fund investment.
Here one has to create an account with Scripbox. Using an e-mail id one can create an account with Scripbox. Upon creating the account and logging in, the following are available: amount of investment and a list of payment options. The investor is required to enter the investment amount in the space provided.
Then, one has to choose between lumpsum or SIP investment by clicking on either “One-time” or “Every month SIP” payment option. Additionally, one can use Scripbox’s calculators to estimate their potential returns from IIFL mutual fund investments. To determine potential returns from mutual fund SIP investments, one can use the SIP Calculator. On the other hand, to estimate lumpsum investment returns, they can use the lumpsum calculator. Furthermore, to view the Scripbox recommended funds, one can click on “See Recommended Funds” button. The list displays the funds that Scripbox recommends for its investors.
In this step, one can view the list of shortlisted mutual funds and also the investment amount for each fund. Kindly check all the details before proceeding ahead.
In case, an investor wishes to change the investment amount and the funds; they can do so by clicking “I want to change funds/amount”. This will help them change their investment portfolio to suit their requirements. Clicking on the “Next” bottom will proceed to the payment page.
In this step, the payment can be completed by providing the following details: bank account and PAN card. This enables Scripbox to process mutual fund investment. Also, Scripbox provides a secure environment for investors to process their payments. Moreover, the bank details will not be misused and will only be used for investing and crediting redemption proceeds.
Know Your Customer (KYC) is for client identification. As per SEBI mandate, all investors have to be KYC compliant. If an individual is not KYC compliant, then they cannot invest in SEBI registered mutual funds. Also, SEBI prescribes the KYC requirements. The KYC form includes details such as identity, address, demographics, financial status, and occupation of the individual.

Mr Patel is a fund manager of equity funds at IIFL AMC. He has more than 14 years of experience in investment management and research. Before joining IIFL, he worked with DSP BlackRock Group. He managed equity portfolios of DSP BlackRock Equity Savings Fund and MIP fund at DSP BlackRock Investment Managers.
Furthermore, Mr Patel joined DSP Group in 2013 as an equity analyst where he was responsible for origination and distribution of ideas across utilities, energy and industrials sector. He also worked with Spark Capital as a lead analyst in their Institutional Equities division. Mr Patel also worked with Tata Motors and CRISIL.
He is a CFA charter, chartered accountant and also holds a B. Com degree. Furthermore, he currently manages the IIFL Focused Equity Fund.
Mr Parekh is the fund manager of debt funds at IIFL asset management company. He has more than 15 years of experience in the fixed income securities market. Before joining the fund house, he worked with Reliance Capital AMC as a fund manager EPFO for seven years. He also worked with SBI DFHI primary dealership firm and DBS Cholamandalam AMC.
He is a commerce graduate. Also, he holds an MBA degree from Bharathiar University, Tamilnadu. He currently manages the following funds: IIFL Liquid fund and IIFL Dynamic Bond Fund.
